GREEN AND SUSTAINABLE

Environmental work and sustainability are a central part of Elobina’s operations

With us at Elobina, everything is made to order with minimal use of water, electricity and raw materials. We produce most locally at Mellangården in Alnarp Skåne to minimize transport distances and ensure sustainable production. Here at Mellangården, we also have our own electricity production in the form of storage wind power. Some special fabrics such as silk are manufactured in Northern Germany and transported to us by car. Sewing also takes place locally in Alnarp, which provides jobs for local sewing people and ensures quality and good conditions. Customers, both private and professional, create their own products according to needs and wishes.

We at Elobina regularly review our range of fabrics and strive to bring in new materials with a lower environmental impact. We also investigate new production methods such as 3D printing, to always ensure the best and most sustainable production methods for our customers.

Made to order only

According to a survey conducted by Deloitte, 36% of all consumers are interested in products that are manufactured when needed. Research has shown that “extending the average life of textiles with only three months of active use per product would lead to a reduction of at least 10% of each carbon, water and waste footprint”.

Elobina’s concept makes a big difference, by enabling companies, institutions and consumers to create personal products on sustainable, high-quality materials. Nothing is kept in stock, instead everything is produced as needed, ie exactly what the customer wants.

Research also shows that when the customer has been involved in creating their product and invested their own time in it, it will have a longer lifespan.
